Requests for work, volunteering or internships

We are currently not recruiting for any roles but please read our newsletters for any announcements. We currently do not offer any volunteer or internship placements directly with the LWA, but keep an eye out in the newsletter or on the forum for any members looking for volunteers or workers.

Academic/Research Enquiries

Please look at the Agroecology Research Collaboration to see if it fits your area of research/work.

Membership Support / Advice

Currently the LWA does not have capacity or resources to help individual members or potential members on their specific projects, farms or programmes. We get a lot of requests for individual support and would love to have the time to respond to each request in full. We are fundraising for a new role for somebody to focus on membership support and services as we have identified it is a gap in our offering so please watch this space. Having said that, if your query is critical and urgent please email info@landworkersalliance.org.uk including the word URGENT in the subject header and it will get picked up and we can try our best to help.

Contacting Individual Staff

Please take the time to explore our staff page here to see who the most relevant contact for your enquiry is.

Our addresses format is firstname.lastname@landworkersalliance.org.uk

Please bear in mind we all work part time and have limited capacity to respond to enquiries outside our core areas of work.

You can also find information under the About Us header about branch and regional organising, and identity groups within the LWA membership.

South East England Organisers’ Strategy Meeting

The South East LWA region is joining with London to create a bigger region with more organising power!

The new region will span London, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Kent, Sussex, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and Berkshire.

We are inviting anyone in this region who has an interest in helping to coordinate events, campaigns and any other LWA related activities in the region to join on:

  • Saturday 14th January at Stepney City Farm
  • 11am-4pm

Lunch will be provided with Vegan and Halal options

We hope to have a newly formed group by the end of the day, and to have identified some activities we can do together in the coming year. This is a really exciting opportunity for existing LWA members and supporters, and potential new members, to come together and dream up ideas to continue to connect landworkers with each other and reach people who support agroecological forms of land work and the goals of food sovereignty in the region.

We welcome anyone to attend who has an interest in working more closely as an LWA organiser in the region and feels they would be able contribute with a little time. Whether you are a grower, forester, farmer, food activist or someone who is simply passionate about the goals of LWA we would love you to attend.

We will give time to offer some background and aspirations for the new organising group and to think of the needs of the region as a whole and what we can focus on. We will offer space to discuss how each person might want to contribute and how we might work together collectively, before looking forward to what we can organise together over the coming months.

If you have any questions about accessibility please get in touch by emailing southeastlandworkersalliance@gmail.com. Please include your name and any dietary or accessibility needs you have.

If you can’t make it to this event but are keen to get involved in SE member organising then please do get in touch telling us a little bit about who you are and we will loop you in to further communications that we have.
