    10TH ANNIVERSARY PUBLICATION

    Overview

To mark our 10th anniversary the Landworkers’ Alliance is creating a publication that will be a diverse, powerful and beautiful contextualisation of the movement. It will bring together voices from across the membership and beyond to reflect on what it means to work the land.

Some of the issues the book will raise are – access to land, diversity in landwork, the importance of seed sovereignty, gender and landwork, as well as the ecological and social imperative of creating a better food and landwork system by working in harmony with nature.

Through a compilation of contributions (from across our network and membership) ranging from song lyrics, letters, poems, documents, essays, drawings, illustrations, photographs and interviews the book will celebrate the possibility of creating positive change to our food system and landwork that lies at the heart of the movement. The book will give voice to the people who work the land and celebrate what is achievable through collective action and solidarity building.

It will be both an account of the Landworkers’ Alliance’s work over the last ten years and a rallying cry for others to join us in our collective endeavour towards land justice and food sovereignty.
